Alison Armstrong is an internationally acclaimed educator and expert on understanding men, women, and relationships.

She’s also the bestselling author of “The Queen’s Code.” Yes, this podcast is about men and masculinity, but in her book Alison writes, “To know men is to love them,” and I think that earns her a seat at the table. Because she’s spent 30 years studying men and devoted her life to helping explain men to women, with the goal of improving human relationships so we can bring about The Great Reconciliation and begin building heaven on Earth. In our conversation we discussed: dependence, independence, and interdependence between men and women; ultimatums, and what they mean to women vs. men; what women’s independence is for, and how they can think about giving it up, and what they’ll get in return; the difference between “non-starters” in new relationships vs. “not-forevers” in existing relationships; and finally, The Language of Heroes, which is a method for women to communicate their needs to men in a way which “speaks to the heart, soul and spirit of a man. It calls to him, rouses him, honors him.” Give Alison just 17 minutes and I think she’ll earn your trust, like she has mine.
